Free double-entry accounting software for Korean small businesses
Sulsul Accounting (술술회계) is a free double-entry bookkeeping program for Korean sole proprietors and small businesses. It runs on Windows, and your books stay on your own PC. This page is an English summary; the program itself and the rest of this site are in Korean.

What it does
Vouchers flow into ledgers, ledgers into financial statements, and financial statements into year-end closing — all from the same records. It produces a trial balance, an income statement, and a balance sheet, each in both a full and a condensed form.
Bank transaction files, card statements, Korean National Tax Service (홈택스) exports, and journals exported from other accounting programs can be imported as spreadsheets. Inventory movement can be valued by weighted average, moving average, or FIFO. Fixed assets can be registered, depreciated, and tracked through their changes.
Where your data lives
Companies, counterparties, vouchers, and ledgers are stored only on the computer you use. Nothing is uploaded to this website or to any other server, and the accounting features keep working without an internet connection — only the ad banners go online.
Because of that, backups are your responsibility. We hold no copy of your data, so we cannot recover it if your computer fails. Data is stored unencrypted, so please also keep the computer's own access controls in place.
What it is not
There is no automatic bank feed. Keeping one running costs money, and adding it would mean no longer being able to offer the program without a fee. Instead you download the transaction file from your bank or card company and upload that spreadsheet — one extra step, and no charge for it.
It does not file taxes for you. It summarises what the ledgers already contain — a supporting step, not a filing service; the filing itself and the tax judgement behind it belong with a tax professional.
Sulsul Accounting is Windows-only; it does not run on macOS, phones, or tablets. It runs standalone on a single PC and does not support several people editing the same books at the same time. There is no cloud sync — automatic backups exist, but they are written to the same computer, so moving a backup file to another drive is up to you. It is not an ERP — it does not combine payroll, HR, and production management. Ads are displayed; this is not an ad-free program.

Who made it
It was written by a certified public accountant who kept the books for a family member's small business and wanted to remove the friction they ran into along the way. It is distributed through the Microsoft Store; installer files are not served from this website.
